氣加熱系統使用燃燒液化氣來加熱熨平板底板，通過底板傳熱的方式來加熱振搗梁，壓實梁。液化氣經減壓閥送到各個噴火嘴，用點火器將各個噴火嘴點燃，所以在燃燒室內產生熱量加熱底板，達到熨平板加熱的目的。氣加熱擁有加熱不均勻，加熱速度慢且易產生局部過熱而使底板產生退火降低耐磨性等缺點，但是氣加熱擁有成本低廉，易改制等優點而廣泛使用。
