先說方向控制閥，顧名思義就是控制流體的方向的，你所說的所說的換向閥和單向閥都屬于方向控制閥。換向閥幾乎是所有氣液動元器件里種類最多，總量最大，相對來說也最受關注的一類元器件了。大家常常聽到的什么兩位兩通，兩位三通，三位五通等等都屬于方向控制閥。
溢流閥屬于壓力控制閥，就是說壓力達到或者超過某一個設定值后，氣體從溢流口流出，從而保護系統的壓力。
比例閥和伺服閥是從另外一個維度對閥進行分類。例如流量比例閥是對閥的流量進行自動的無級的調節，輸入的電流信號與輸出的氣體流量成一定的比例關系。這與傳統的閥差別很大。伺服閥用于伺服控制系統中，提高了系統的響應速度。這兩種閥里又包含了壓力控制閥和流量控制閥。比例閥與伺服閥與傳統的電磁方向和壓力控制閥相比價格高很多，一般的自動化行業較少用到。
